I'm trying to figure out what we should call the items you get when you buy packs (provided it's not the lowest tier pack). This should honestly be simpler, but it's not, so I'm hoping to get some feedback and/or suggestions.
So far, these are the names that have come to mind and I've listed my thoughts on them:
Note: I'm using "Items" in these examples, but "Items" should be interchangeable with "clothing", "pets", "accessories", etc.
- "VIP Pack Items" - I've been leaning towards this one most, but I still don't love it because sometimes you're technically not buying a VIP pack when you get these items.
- "Top-up Pack Items" - I can't remember if this was even an "official" name or not, but this one has the opposite problem of "VIP Pack"...except I feel like it's perhaps worse with this one given you have to have VIP before you can buy this version of these packs.
- "Diamond Pack/DPack Items" - I know this is one of the most common names used in the community, but I hate that because although we could note that they're sometimes referred to as this, not all of the items are from the "Diamond Tier" (does MSP even label "tiers" like that anymore?).
I know sometimes this is also used as a replacement for "Top-up Pack", but I don't think this is a better name to use than "Top-up Pack" if that's the version we were going with.
- Just "Pack Items" - This doesn't seem horrible, but it also seems too vague/unclear and perhaps doesn't truly do a good job to describe what they even are.
- "Rares/Exclusives/Etc." - None of these names would be fitting (at least, not as a lone term) because these items are...honestly so complex, but also because these words are more-so umbrella terms.
- The word "Premium" is coming to mind to use in someway, but I also think I had a reason (which I've forgotten) why I thought that it'd be bad to use "premium".
Edit: I believe the reason had to do with diamonds as that is the "premium" currency on MSP and thus all diamond items would kinda be considered "premium items", but are absolutely nothing like VIP pack items.
Also, I'm not asking because I'm concerned with how it's referred to on the VIP article (if we word that slightly different, given the content of the article, it probably makes more sense not to use one of these other names).
